DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION misleading terms and conditions

[ Edited ]

I was given a very generic response regarding my case as I provided all of the info below. No one addressed how the terms and conditions are very misleading for my particular purchase which I read before purchase. Someone please help me and address the misleading terms and conditions for a DIGITAL ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION. My name is Nicole {removed per forum guidelines}. I purchased a subscription item as you can see in my case number. I did read the terms and conditions as indicated. Please see the specific terms listed below that I was told to read that apply to my order. I reviewed the Terms for non returnable. You specifically list the digital content that is non refundable and make it a point to state non subscription. You also have a separate section with information on refund subscriptions not yet used. I am being told now that the subscription doesn't include what I purchased and that the subscription is included in digital but not listed. I really hope that a manager can please review this and see how the below terms I thought I was agreeing to were misleading. Kindly refund me, as well as submit a request to clarify your terms and conditions to include subscriptions listed as non returnable. Feel free to call me. 1st set of terms and conditions that apply to my order... All Final Sale merchandise cannot be returned. Other nonreturnable purchases include custom orders, personalized orders, non-subscription digital content (including digital gaming but excluding Microsoft Office), prepaid cards (including third-party gift cards and prepaid phone cards), vehicle replacement key fobs, memberships, completed services, plumbing items including bidets, sexual wellness products, trading cards (including Pokémon cards), opened SIM kits, opened consumable items including batteries, cleaning agents, oils, fuel, filters, cleaners, ink and 3D printer filament. 2nd set of terms and conditions that apply to my order.... Services, subscriptions and Microsoft 365 and Office Return and refund details on services and subscriptions, including anti-virus software and Microsoft 365, are found in their terms and conditions. Microsoft Office can be returned within 30 days by all customers, including Membership Program members, for a full refund. If you have purchased a service that you have not used, but you now wish to return and you are unable to return in a store, please contact us at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289).

Re: DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION misleading terms and conditions

Your post is a little difficult to read. Can you let us know what exact digital subscription you purchased? We can help you understand those terms.

Re: DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION misleading terms and conditions

2nd part of response.... In the Final Sale and Non Returnable Items Section of the terms it states.... All Final Sale merchandise cannot be returned. Other nonreturnable purchases include custom orders, personalized orders, non-subscription digital content (including digital gaming but excluding Microsoft Office), prepaid cards (including third-party gift cards and prepaid phone cards), vehicle replacement key fobs, memberships, completed services, plumbing items including bidets, sexual wellness products, trading cards (including Pokémon cards), opened SIM kits, opened consumable items including batteries, cleaning agents, oils, fuel, filters, cleaners, ink and 3D printer filament. *Note they make it a point to state NON SUBSCRIPTION and not list SUBSCRIPTION*... When reading this before purchase this led me to believe okay so SUBSCRIPTION items can be returned....

Re: DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION misleading terms and conditions

Not sure how they will answer. According to Adobe you have 14 days to cancel, after that they don't provide a refund, prorated or otherwise.

Re: DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION misleading terms and conditions

Hey, NicoNico,

We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us on this, and I can understand you being concerned over not being able to return the subscription of Adobe Premiere Pro. I would not be able to forward your concerns over our terms to another employee of Best Buy, but I can assure you that we are consistently reviewing all terms we provide our customers to make sure they are accurate. Simply put, we do not refund downloaded software. In addition the only software/media that we would return or exchange would be unopened physical copies of software/media. We would not be able to elaborate on our terms here on our forum, and we would not be able to refund you what  you paid for this subscription of Adobe Premier Pro. You should be able to cancel your subscription to this software by contacting Adobe.

Thanks,
