Current PayPal Refunds

Greetings Everyone-

 

We know how important it is to receive your refunds in a timely manner and Best Buy certainly strives to hit the goal of processing those refunds as quickly as we can, so you have your PayPal funds back and ready to be used again.

 

Currently, we have been made aware of a backlog within our PayPal refund processing that is delaying the normal time frame for those refunds.  At this time, we aren’t able to provide a firm time frame for the processing of those refunds, but our support teams are working as quickly as they can to get them completed and back into your accounts. 

 

We realize that this isn’t ideal and we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

Best Buy / Pal Pal refund problem

Hi there,

Couple of days ago I ordered a laptop from Best Buy and after an cancelation of my order I have not received an refund so I called firstly Pay Pal and then Best Buy.
Conversations went back and forth between theese two companies and after talking with them for at least 10 times, I still didn't get an enclosure on my case and my refund.
It's supper bad experience (worst I ever had in my life) and I know it is not a problem of Pay Pal because I have been using it for past 10 years and never in my life had I had a problem with refound what so ever.
I would highly recommend not using Pay Pal with Best Buy , because you WILL  get ripped of and they will  take your money. 
I really hope that my problem will be resolved (cuz I know that this is not a first problem of this kind on this forum).
I will keep you guys updated until I get to an enclosure.

5 days later still nothing has happened. Tried to call them explaining everytime everyone the situation, still they say that they have nothing to do with it. BestBuy is the worst company I've ever delt with in my life!

I have my own fair share of bills to pay, and I certainly can’t afford to have funds tied up with something like a cancelled order, so thanks for patiently waiting for some answers about your refund. It sounds like you’ve been sent on this wild goose chase just trying to get some clarification, and I appreciate you giving us a second chance despite that to allow us to help sort things out from here.

 

When an online order is cancelled, the refund should be immediately provided in our systems. It may take a few business days for the issuing bank associated with the payment method to process the funds though, meaning it may take some time before money is available in your account. According to PayPal’s refund FAQ, this refund could take up to 30 days. This could be why you’ve yet to see the money appear back in your account. I would suggest reaching back out to them for assistance, but if you have other questions for me specifically, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’d be happy to address any outstanding concerns you may have.

Returned fitbit but no PayPal Credit yet?

I returned a fitbit to the best buy nearest me on Sept 29th. I used my PayPal account when I purchased it online. When I log into my bby account it tells me they have recieved my return and processed a refund for my item. The refund was not showed back up into my account. I have called customer service and they just tell me to keep waiting. I have never had a PayPal return take this long before. I've it be instant to next day at the latest. What's going on?

Issues with a refund

For over a month now I've been trying to get a simple $30 refund. I'm an elite member and have spent thousands in Best Buy over the years. I purchased a digital copy of NBA 2k19 for the PS4. With my gamers unlocked membership, it was only $52. I was charged for the order, but cancelled when I decided to upgrade to the more expensive edition that cost $99. I was told that since I paid in two different ways, my refund would come as I paid. $22 would come in up to 10 business days on a gift card and the other $30 to my paypal account within a few days. After 3 days past, I called back to see why I hadn't gotten the $30 to my paypal. I was then told that it will take up to 30 days. I waited 30 days, then called back again. I was told that it had been processed and was given a transaction number to give to paypal. After waiting 45 minutes on hold for paypal, I was told that that number didn't exist. I then called best buy back and was told that I had to wait another 5 days. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she told me she didn't even see my transaction and that I was never charged. After telling her that was false and that I've already received my gift card, she then told me that it was processed and I should have it. After another few minutes of waiting, she told me that she could not get my money back, but could send me a gift card for the $30. After all of the money I've sepent with best buy and all my loyalty to the company, I'm done. $30 dollars. I am always sure to only spend my money with best buy. I make sure every TV, including the 2 I bought this year, laptop, tablet, games, controllers, systems, headsets, movies is purchased at your store. I'm even on first name basis with 2 of your store managers and alot of your associates because I'm in your stores weekly. All this trouble over $30. After I spend this $30 gift card and the $10 gift card I'm gonna get with my membership points, I'm done with best buy all together.

PayPal Refund - Where is it?!

PayPal states they have no waiting time for refunds and that BestBuy hasn’t processed the refund. I have my receipt from BestBuy but nothing on it is helpful to PayPal, they searched for all numbers. The unopened Apple Watch was returned on 9/29/19. Now it’s 10/05/18 and nothing. $424.94 is a lot of money BestBuy is “holding.” Best Buy didn’t ship till money transferred. Yet I have to wait when you have the sealed merchandise back & I was told my return was immediately going to a back order. I wished I had come to the forums to see the issues everyone apparently has with refunds to PayPal. Shame on you BestBuy for not resolving an obvious issue with your interface to PayPal.

Where is my refund?

And yet another complaint about a missing PayPal refund. I returned an online purchase in store on 9/30/18. I was told I’d have my money back within 24-48 hours. It is now 10/6/18 and I still don’t have my refund. I have filed a dispute through PayPal and (big surprise) I am waiting on Best Buy to respond. I will never shop at Best Buy ever again. Terrible customer service!

It has been over a week and no paypal refund. Can't believe i have to post on a forum to get my money back. Completel joke.

PSA TO ANYONE READING THIS. Just open a dispute on paypal. You will either get your money back in 10 days OR best buy has to respond to the dispute(with a refund).
