Credit Card does not work with Pre-order purchase because of future expiration date of Credit Card

I am unable to order a Pre-order item just becaue my credit card happens to expire on 11/2020. That is such a rediculous policy, and I will probably miss the opportunity to buy this item since it is a limited release. I have no other way to make this purchase and I can't control the fact that my Credit Card Company has expiration dates on the cards they send me. I'm sure they will eventually send me a new card prior to 11/2020, but it is only 8/2020 and my credit card is fully functional and not currently expired. How can I make this purchase go through for this pre-order? Also there is no release date indicated on the SKU. I pre-order things all the time with unknown release dates through your website and have no issues. In the past, I know I've had pre-orders get canceled because of the expiration date issue even though the credit card I used is still valid. Can you help? SKU 6420103

Re: Credit Card does not work with Pre-order purchase because of future expiration date of Credit...

Thanks for sharing this feedback with us, emorabito. I’ll absolutely record it here at the Corporate level as we’re always looking to improve for the future.

In current state, while perhaps not the answer hoped for, we would be unable to force an order through with a form of payment not accepted by our ordering system. With this said, if you are unable to place a desired pre-order with your credit card due to the expiration date, what @nckhammond suggests sounds like a wonderful work around. I’m glad they were able to step in with that suggestion! If you have any other questions or concerns in the future, please feel free to reach back out as the community is happy to help.
