Cancelled my pre-orders days ago--still haven't been refunded

Almost a week ago I cancelled 3 game collector's editions I had pre-ordered. Since they didn't release until November I figured I could get a refund rather quickly. I have still yet to be refunded the amount.

I originally paid for these items through PayPal. I figured that maybe there's just a longer wait for refunds on PayPal, but according to my PayPal account I have no refunds pending at all. And when I look at my Best Buy account it shows the items as cancelled and a message saying they "will refund your payment now." I also recently had an order on ebay cancelled and that was refunded on my PayPal immediately, so I don't think it's a problem on my end. 

 

Is it typical for refunds to PayPal from Best Buy to take long like this? Or do I need to speak to someone else about this?

That is because on a pre-order you are not charged until it gets ready to ship. You were only authorized.

Opps my bad I saw it was paypal

 

Becuase of hte nature of PayPal it can take up to 2 weeks.

 

Not BB's fault it is the way PP works

Thank you for stopping by our community forums again. I'm sure you're eager to receive this refund, I'd be glad to give you some more information on the timing of this.

 

In most cases, PayPal refund are processed within two hours but can take up to 24 hours. Because of the amount of time that has passed since cancelling this order I'd be glad to make sure this was processed correctly.

Full name

Email address

Phone number

Cancelled order numbers
