Canceled preorders from 2019 using Paypal - did not receive refunds

Hi, would someone please be able to assist me with a few canceled video game preorders? Back in 2019, I preordered several games shortly before my Best Buy gamer's club membership expired in order to secure a 20% off discount on any games I was able to preorder and might be interested in once they come out. Two of those games are still in development and still have no release dates announced, so I cancelled my preorders in 2020. The first cancellation with no refund was on Jul 14, 2020 for Bayonetta 3. The second cancellation with no refund was on Dec 14, 2020 for Metroid Prime 4. I did not notice until recently that I never received a refund for these cancelled preorders. Both of these preorders were done using Paypal as my payment method, so the funds were immediately taken out when I made the preorders.

Welcome back to our forums!  Generally speaking, once an order is cancelled, the process of your funds returning to your account, or any pending authorizations to drop off your account, should be a relatively quick one, so I’m sorry to hear there seems to be a delay in these PayPal refunds you’ve been waiting for.

 

I’ll be happy to take a closer look into these orders and offer any additional assistance I can, however, I’ll just need a few pieces of additional information from you in order to do so.  If you could use the blue “Private Message” button in my signature to send me the following information:

 

  • Your first and last name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your order numbers
