I have been a loyal Best Buy customer for over 20 years now. I had the Best Buy store card and now upgraded to the Best Buy Visa card.
I made several purchases for Christmas in which only two of them I did not receive. I called Best Buy customer service to be told do NOT worry about it that it would be fixed and credited. Nothing was done for the next 17 days after I had been assured I would receive an email within less than two weeks. Yet again I call back.
Whatever “higher level team” there is that we, the customers, cannot speak with directly had written in my file that they would not refund or replace the two missing items. The representative I spoke with said not to worry and she fixed it by crediting the items back to my visa and I have the return recipets for those transactions. After she gave me the refund on the missing items I thought great now that’s the end of it, but boy was I wrong.
Another 3 weeks go by and without warning Best Buy recharged my credit card for the items that THEIR REPERSENTIVE REFUNDED!!! I call back and was told the refund was not correct, so their reasonable responce was to without warning just recharged my credit card. Accident or not this is something that Best Buy should be dealing with internally between themselves and their representative regarding approving the refund. Instead of holding their employees mistake out on the customer and use it as a training opportunity.
On top of that to add further insult to injury I can no longer order anything to be shipped to me or place any orders for instore pick up. Again this account hold/block needs to be address by some higher level team which I am told I cannot reach or speak with directly. I would like the ability to place orders online restored and it is especially crucial for me because I am disabled.
However tragically it seems Best Buy is not interested in keeping me as a customer or as a Best Buy visa card holder any longer and prefer I shop at Amazon, Target, and Walmart. If there is no communication and resolution on allowing my account to make online purchases and online instore orders that will become my recourse.
If not resolved I will make sure to tell all my friends, family, social media, anyone who asks, as well as complete strangers to steer clear of Best Buy. When someone shows you who they are believe them, therefore, actions not words convey Best Buy clearly does not make customer service/satisfaction a priority.

Ever single order I place is being cancelled. No it is not my card, no it isn’t an invalid address. There must be a block on my account, but no one via phone or forum will be honest and straightforward about this issue. I do not appreciate being given the runaround and I know if you were a customer, you wouldn’t either. I want to know what the issue is and when it will be resolved. Anything other than that is truly a waste of my time and yours.
Sincerely,
Previous 20-year customer

Hi, SIR_GIR,
Though it is unfortunate that you feel you are not being given direct and concise responses, please know that when agents are reaching out for answers on your behalf, we typically provide the information presented the same way it was given. There are times in which the details are word for word from the source or team that specializes in that field. As mentioned in the Terms and Conditions/Conditions of Use, there are multiple reasons in which orders can be cancelled that do not necessarily include issues with credit card or address information like what is mentioned on the "Why Was My Order Cancelled?" page. Both links also mention that "at any time after receipt of your order, we may accept, decline, or place quantity or other limits on your order for any reason". I have provided these links in private message as well.
As mentioned by our Community Veteran hockeycanuckjc, it is important that we continue to follow the Forum Guidelines.
Kindly,

Same issue here, what happened?

Hi, SIR_GIR,
As mentioned in our private conversation, many of the the common causes of cancelled orders may be found here. Under our "Conditions of Use" or Terms and Conditions, our order confirmation to you does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. At any time after receipt of your order, we may accept, decline, or place quantity or other limits on your order for any reason. Therefore it is recommended to visit your local Best Buy for in store purchases. A final answer specific to your orders was provided per private message as well. Please refer to this going forward.
Kindest regards,

good luck and this has been happening to me for a few months.. nobody gives the correct answer or fix or even wants to help. it's usually overseas support answering phones and they give the usual generic faq answers.
"escalate to correct team" .. on top of that my points have also been held hostage since last cancel (now going on 3 weeks since cancel/refund of credit card but points went poof)..
anyways i think they are shutting these forums and they are moving to even less contact with customers.
I don't think anybody cares .. sad to say.. i even resorted to filing a complaint with BBB and still it didn't move the needle.
cancelled order back to back n each time points came back last one near Feb 9th cancelled Feb 14th finally refunded after multiple calls and anguish.. but only to credit card.. points are held hostage by a special task force from cia apparently lol.
this company needs to go bankrupt . circuit city 2.0
