Billed incorrect amount

So I recently placed an order for a used Ipad tablet which was 703.99 after tax + shipping it came out to $767.70. My email confirmation and reciept says $767.70, but what Best Buy billed my paypal 805, I contacted Best Buy CS who directed me to call paypal as they dont see the 805 only the 767.70 and Paypal is saying that Best Buy the vendor billed for 805 and they can't do anything other than speak to the Best Buy CS rep and tell them what they were charged. I even had a in store rep look at this and said it was definetly a mistake and to contact Best Buy CS. So I'm confused as to why I'm paying more and why no one is able to resolve or refund me the extra that I paid even though I have screenshots,and reciepts and even Paypal all showing that Best Buy is billing me for 805. I have called in numerous times but no they just tell me to call Paypal and I would like a resolution immedietly.

Just curious if your PayPal address, card tied to Paypal, and shipping address you gave best buy are all the same? In case it used a different tax rate based on your PayPal address?

Yes there all the same. And the tax rate would be too high for that to be the issue just due to the fact the tablet was 703, 102 for taxes with my state tax rate doesn’t match up. Plus when I completed the order it said the tablet was 799.99 on the confirmation page but emailed me saying it was 767 so I’m not sure why Im not being billed for what’s advertised/on my receipt

Welcome to our forums!  I can’t say I blame you for wanting to make sure you’re not being charged for the incorrect amount on your iPad purchase, as this certainly sounds like quite the price discrepancy you’re looking at.

 

I’ll be happy to take a closer look into this order and offer any additional assistance I can, however, I’ll need a few pieces of additional information from you in order to do so.  If you could use the blue “Private Message” button in my signature to send me:

 

  • Your first and last name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your order number
  • The dates of the charge you’re seeing on your PayPal account
