Bestbuy.com account got hacked 10/6/2017

I read all the posts. People getting hacked left and right. What is going on Bestbuy? I got hacked last friday 10/6/2017. Their attempt failed for the iphone 8 and and graphic card but went through for the 2 rokus one of which was delivered today USPS Tracking Number: {removed per forum guidelines} and the other i was able to cancel through USPS.

 

my blood is beyond boiling right now, working in IT it makes it alot more worse for me. I don't even care about the money at this point i want to track down this hackers and make them pay for their deeds since bestbuy process is so weak it's a joke. let me explain.

 

so once the order is placed you can't cancel it because it's ," processing" ok i thought once i get the chance i will cancel it but no it wen straight to the shipping and the agent said on the phone it will be intercepted and this was on saturday that i was told. still i saw the tracking updates daily thinking it will stop. it never did. Bestbuy you guys suck at security like completely ...what kind of crap is this? such a big company and this ....smh

 

tips: 

 

1. Search the 2 addresses i have... in your system and flag them {removed per forum guidelines}

2. Have 2 step authentication option avaliable on ALL THE ORDERS.

3. Report those addresses to major shipping companies specially UPS , USPS and Fedex.

4. Implement a system to record IP of the orders. 
5. Let customer cancel the order before processing 

6. BE SMART ! YOU PLAY IN BILLIONS !

Thank you for taking the time to register to our Forums to let us know about your account. I am sorry to hear that your account was compromised and unauthorized orders were placed. I completely understand how frustrating it is to have to contact your bank and create new passwords for everything. 

 

We have a support article with steps we recommend taking when an unauthorized order is placed. I would definitely recommend contacting your bank immediately to get the card cancelled and fraud reported. I also recommend filing a report with your local law enforcement.  Best Buy fully cooperates with any investigation with law enforcement.

Yea thanks but that doesn't help me to stop these people from doing it again to other people. Can you help me in providing Bestbuy's IT staff email or phone ? I want to explain them what happened and provide some more useful tips. Please don't tell me you don't have an contact for them because they don't exist or whatever.....that's impossible, you guys are a big company It has to have internal IT support system. If you don't know contact the people who would know about it. Thanks !
