Best Buy should reconsider Shipt Deliveries

I am not in the happiest of moods as I write this. I believe Best Buy should reconsider using services like Shipt for delivery. Or, at the least, allow the customer to select if they want to use this service. I had a TV & Echo Show being delivered. The TV was shipped with Shipt and the Echo Show was shipped with FedEx.

The Shipt driver marked the package as delivered, did not take a photo of it, and did not actually deliver it. I was home all day and watched the tracking on my phone periodically. My 21 year old daughter was also home. No one came to my door at all. If the delivery app for this company is similar to GrubHub or DoorDash then I believe the driver pulled up to the house so the GPS could read the location, marked it delivered, and drove off. Which is why he/she didn't take a picture. I do not believe Shipt is a reputable company to use, nor did I select them as a delivery option. I wasn't notified as to who would deliver my package until it was shipped. I've never had an issue with packages being delivered to my address. I think Best Buy should only use Shipt if the customer requests it. I would have rather it take longer than not be delivered. Best Buy did reship my package and will require a signature (thank you). I am grateful for that. But I'm mad that some jerk gets a free TV. It's just not right. I really want this driver to be reported because if they did this to me, it either isn't their first time, or won't be their last time.

Thank you for providing the information I require.  

 

I'll have to have reach out to one of our internal departments that has the ability to assist me with processing your concerns with Shipt.  I can understand the frustration that can happen with any delivery service, especially when they're not as well established as the postal service, UPS, or FedEx.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate that. The driver should not be allowed to work for them anymore. Also is there anyway Best Buy can allow the customer to opt out of those types of delivery services?

I'm not sure if there's a way to pick your delivery company when you place an order.
