Best Buy's unfair sales practice

Dear Best Buy Support Team,



I wish to report the disappointment I experienced while making my first every purchase in www.bestbuy.com



On August 23, 2019 I purchased a HP Envy laptop model number HP 17-BW0013DX and paid USD 833.80 (781.99 + taxes) Order # {removed per forums guidelines}

Purchase process was not easy as my order was cancelled, had to call from Canada to your office to get things sorted out. Finally order got placed and package was shipped out.


To my surprise the next-day price dropped from USD 833.80 to 496.99 in 24 hours I felt I was cheated badly. But I still wanted to buy it and called the customer support and requested them do the price match but efforts in vain.

I asked the support staff to cancel the order as I wanted to place a fresh order. I placed two orders back to back both were cancelled. Reason best known to you. (your website showed item in stock, order was successful then why cancel the order) ??

I thought I should bring this incident to light and give share bitter experience towards unprofessional service given by so called USA's best online website.

Being first time buyer spending USD 800+ for a machine is not small amount, on top sudden price drop. Hope your marketing manager thinks before launching offers from customers prospective. How other buyer will feel about such poor practices.

I am still interested to buy the same laptop (as I have invested hours searching for one) which is yet to be delivered. If you really want to win over the buyer, instead of losing one for LIFE do call me or email me with price match.

Were the orders for shipping from Best Buy US to Canada? Because if so, the US portion of Best Buy doesn't ship to Canada. If you were on BestBuy.CA you would need to contact their support via 1-888-237-8289 for assistance as they don't have their own forums.

Best Buy price matches their own sales so you should be in good shape here shortly. Let us know what the resolution was.
