Best Buy fumbles my order than they make me wait 10 days to give me my money back

I honestly have never had such a terrible shopping experience like the one I had today. I buy a monitor online to pick up at a store and then I receive an email that the item is not available and that the order is cancelled. Part of the purchase was done with points from my credit card using a gift card. Now customer service tells me I have to wait 10 BUSINESS days to receive the funds on my gift card. Why should I have to wait for a mistake by Best Buy. I have done so many purchases in Best Buy. Sadly after I get my gift card back I will be doing my last purchase and be taking my shopping to a place that treats valued customers with more care. Any other place would have solved my problem or offered a discount instead of telling a returning customer to go screw yourself and wait 10 days for our mistake.

Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. I’m sorry that your order was cancelled. We hate it when something like that happens.


As for your gift card, it shouldn’t take that long for the funds to be returned to you. I’m hopeful that you’ll see them today. I’m sorry if the folks you spoke with gave you incorrect information about that.
