Hi. On Jan. 31st I made a pre-order for Metroid Prime 4 and I noticed today that there is still an authorization hold on my card even though it's been almost 2 weeks (12 days as of me writing this). I've never noticed a hold taking this long before and was wondering what was up with it?

Hi there, Diakia89,
Welcome back to the forum, and thank you for connecting with us regarding your authorization hold! Pre-ordering games is a great way to ensure you receive them as soon as possible after release. I've heard great things about Metroid Prime 4 so I'm sure you're eagerly awaiting release day!
With that said, we frequently authorize the funds when an order is placed to ensure there are funds available. As you've experienced, these authorizations usually reflect as a pending charge on your account for a few days, and then drop off once they expire. While each financial institution is different so it is possible that an authorization may have an expiration date further out, I would agree that 12 days is peculiar.
I would be happy to look into this with you, but will require a few more details from you. Please keep an eye on your inbox in the top right corner of the page for my private message coming your way.
Sincerely,
