whenever I try to purchase thru applepay on the ios bestbuy app, the tax charged is showing higher (10%) while it is 6% (as it should be ) when I try to use the credit card checkout. I raised this initially with applepay who asked me to contact bestbuy as they don't control what is charged as tax. I contacted bestbuy chat as well as call center support. Both failed to give any reason. So I ended up buying the item in amazon (who btw has the best support and customer service!!).
'I notice similar issue raised by users in this forum. Can you fix it else you'll be losing more customers and regulars like me.

A previous reply on this situation from the moderators is as follows: This is merely "estimated tax", as you are not charged until the item is either shipped or picked up. In the cases where the item is shipped, your sales tax is calculated for the address where you have the item mailed. For in store pickups, the sales tax charged is the tax rate of that local store.
I am not sure of the physical limitations that cause this to occur, but this info proved correct whenever I ordered online with Apple Pay during the height of our store closures.
