I tried to make a purchase on 22nd Nov and when I clicked checkout, the website took me to local bank page where i have to enter One Time Pass(OTP) to verify the purchase. 1st time i received the OTP late and payment timed out. Before obtaining OTP, i got sms of amount being deducted from my account. But when it timed out, i got another message that amount is refunded/credited to my account. I tried paying again and amount code debited from my account, and again payment timed out but on time out, the amount/money did not get credited/refunded to my account. So the purchase didnt went through and amount was deducted. I have no purchase or order on my bestbuy account. I have not yet received refund of that amount. The customer service on live chat said that it would return in 1 banking cycle, im guessing that is 7 working days. But im worried about the money and need guidance on what i can do. It is my hard earned money that is with bestbuy without a purchase. Im not in USA and wanted my order to be deliver to my relatives, so i cannot call on bestbuy bank service which live chat support told me to.
TIA

It is true that your amount that you were pre-authorized for will be returned within your banking cycles on those transactions. BBY Cant speed up the return process to you.

Hey there, adeeltr,
Welcome to the Best Buy Forums! Although I wish that your contact were under different circumstances, I can understand wanting to check on this. When you place an online order, we authorize your credit card to make sure sufficient credit is available. When an order is cancelled, the time required to remove the authorization is determined by the financial institution that issued your card, but is typically dropped within one billing cycle. You can reach out to your financial institution for more information on these time frames.
I hope that this information helps! If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let me know!
Best Regards,

adeeltr,
Usually, a billing cycle is roughly 30 days, or the amount of days between your last statement date and current statement date. Again, it depends on your bank, and we suggest getting in touch with your card issuer to inquire further.
Hope this helps,
