Basically I just bought a GoPro online through the Best Buy website. A little later, I realized there was a better option for me and it's just a bit more in cost. Am I able to bring my unopened camera in to the store and upgrade to the better version and just pay the difference? Or do I have to process a refund and wait for the entire amount to come back onto my Best Buy visa and then repurchase the upgraded one?

Thanks for the great question! The answer is it depends on how the transaction is processed.
If the transaction has to be done separately with the return on one transaction and the new GoPro on a second transaction you would be receiving a full refund and then making a full purchase. If they can do the return and re-purchase on the same transaction then it’s my understanding you would just be paying the difference in price.
Please be aware that once a return transaction is started, there is only a limited amount of time for the cashier to scan any additional items for purchase. With this in mind, if you’re wanting to exchange for a different GoPro, I would recommend having that new product with you at the counter before they start the process. Also, please be clear with the representative that you are wanting to exchange for the upgraded GoPro so that the refund goes toward the price of the new item instead of back to your original form of payment.
I hope this helps!
