I appreciate the input but mine did not come with a card or sticker. It was a brand new selaed item.
I was told the advertisement for "12 months 365 included" meant that trial software was only pre-installed.
The whole thing is ridiculous. I have never had an issue like this and Best Buy really isn't doing the right thing. The cusomter service avenues have become attorcious to call or chat with. Anyway I filed a complaint with the State. Apparantly I am not the only one with this issue.
Waiting for Best Buy to make things right and give consumers what was advertised. If anyone wants more info on the complaint feel free to message me.

A valid Microsoft Account is required to use the Office Software on your computer. If you did not have one then you cannot use the software. A Keycard or Serial key is no longer included per Microsoft's rules.
I got a Lenovo 11.6 laptop with 32gb of SSD on Black Friday a couple of years back from BBY and all i had to do was sign in and it activated itself
Also I'm not trying to belittle you but calling the BBB or whatever customer advocacy group is not going to solve matters quickly it may make matters worse. Be aware that we are in a pandemic and I am sure that those agencies are going to have a delayed response if you've contacted them due to misleading product complaints.

Just an FYI, I bought this same model yesterday and got the free 1 year as promised. I already subscribed monthly so they wont charge me again until next year. I absolutely despise Win S mode so it was easy to switch out of it in the store.
