I purchased and downloaded Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Elements from Bestbuy.com, but I'm unable to complete installation because Adobe prompts me for a serial number, which I cannot find anywhere. I have a key code, but that is alphanumeric and not what it's asking for.
I've chatted and spoken with customer service twice and they were unable to help me (or even understand the problem.) At this point a serial number would be great but a refund would be just as good.

For clarification, was this a digital purchase? If so, you can find your redemption code or serial number in the email we sent you.

I had no trouble downloading the software--it's the installation that's the problem.
It was a digital purchase, I bought and downloaded the software from BestBuy.com. But there was no serial number in the email sent to me, that's the problem.
