Account hacked but not sure how

My bestbuy.com account got hacked but I can't figure out exactly how or what I should do. I can't call the local store since they're closed of course at this hour.

 

I was able to reset the password, I think they tried using some sort of credit card (using my name with it?) to send merchandise to some address in Florida and used my rewards certificate which I think was only $5. They changed various info, including payment methods, I assume for possible pickup such as my address, phone number. 

So far as I can tell the credit card is not mine though they used my name along with it though I'm not sure how it allowed them to process it under a different name. I checked my credit karma and such and I can't find any evidence of a new card being opened. 

Does Best Buy even allow a charge to process with the wrong name associated with the credit card? If so I don't think that's very secure and can these payment methods be removed from the account permanently? I sure don't want my name to be associated with some fraud being committed. I mean it's not worth the few $5 rewards certificates.

It appears whoever hacked it deleted all my usual payment methods? I'm assuming there's no way for them to access the credit cards I had associated with Bestbuy outside of the bestbuy.com account? Or do I need to call those credit card companies?

Welcome back to our community forums. I can certainly imagine your surprise to see that these orders were placed with your account. I'd be happy to give you some information on how to get help moving forward.

 

If you haven't done so already, I would also recommend changing the password for the email address associated with your My Best Buy account.

 

I'd also like to take a look at these orders and make sure I get the information used for them to the right team. I will need some more details to do so.
