A week later, bestbuy refused to refund my order.

a month ago I went to bestbuy to purchase an iPad along with the pencil from  the website and decided to pick it up at the store, at the time it says the order will be available  within an hour. More than an hour passed and the order was ready to be picked up, or so I thought. The customer service while apologizing, still made me wait for almost 2 hours. Due to the fact that the store was about to be closed, eventually the workers there made me cancel the order with me at that time. The refund took more than 2 weeks, which is a situation I find extremely baffling since it never occurred to me before especially  since I never got the item in the first place.

 

Fast forward to Last week I was expecting my order of an iPad Pro and the pencil to arrive on friday, I've payed for the fastest delivery experience, and I waited for a very long time for it to arrive and then the day of the delivery, I was sent a message saying my order will arrive tomorrow morning which never came, I contacted the customer service and after a long chat they have told me that they would promise me a refund. The guy I was talking to was #{removed per forum guidelines} and #{removed per forum guidelines}. Yesterday, I received an email from bestbuy and my package was now marked as delievered and they told me to contact the delivery person. When in reality by law, the merchant are the ones who are responsible for a package being delievered. Bestbuy completely lied and never resolve the issue in the end, with this now I know I’ll never purchase from bestbuy again.

It’s also worth mentioning that one of my item was successfully shipped and delivered and I have signed it while the rest went missing and I’ve been waiting for it over a week. It’s ridiculous how they shipped my orders all separately and now they won’t take responsibility for the one that I never received saying it was already signed when it’s not.

Welcome to our community, although i wish it were under better circumstances. There is really little as aggravating and upsetting when shopping online than having an order go astray. I've had it happen too!

After weeks of being promised a refund, one of bestbuy message me on this forums saying.

Best buy has promised to give a refund for the items that were delayed and never arrived. On March 14, 2019 (OrderNumber:{removed per forum guidelines} I purchased 3 items on BestBuy and paid the fastest shipping experience. Then the day of the delivery, I was sent a message saying my order will arrive tomorrow morning which never came, instead it was showing a sign of delayed. Then I received a package consisting of only one of the item which I bought (an iPad keyboard) sent by FedEx which I have indeed signed. Strangely enough, I have never received the iPad or the IPad pencil I purchased. Apparently, best buy told me that these items will be sent separately. it was shown as delayed until weeks later when I complained to best buy the 6th times, it was shown as delivered. I have already checked with the main office, looked around the delivery location of the package, see if the package was left with a receptionist or neighbor. But I found nothing after my package was shown as delayed for days. By the law, it is not my responsibility to make sure the package was safe or whether it is missing none other than bestbuy. I've contacted the delivery and they told me to contact the merchant. I’ve been patiently waiting for weeks and at this point I’m beginning to doubt whether bestbuy will keep their promise in regards of the refund.

 

I've received an email from best buy and contacted the customer service numerous times, they all would apologize and kept promising refunds. It has been weeks and I still never receive any confirmation email regarding the refund.

We already run an investigation for the lost package and the refund is currently in process however the refund will be credited back to your original mode of payment within one billing cycle depending on your banks posting. Please do check junk and spam folder because you will be notified for the updates of your refund.
