$550 Trade in for S10+

I Pre-Ordered the Samsung Galaxy S10+ on 2/26/19 and it was delivered on 3/8/19. I assumed I would receive a mailing slip to send my old phone the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 back to Best Buy or Verizon for the $550 trade in promotion. I didn't receive anything so I do know how to get the promo. I talked to Verizon Wireless and they act like they have no idea about this promo.

How do I get the $550 trade in value for purchasing the Galaxy S10+ and trading in my Galaxy Note 8?

Re: $550 Trade in for S10+

Hello, jfelts,

Welcome back to the Best Buy Community forums. Thanks for your question regarding trading in your Galaxy Note 8.

As noted here, the promotional trade-in value of that phone was only available for in-store purchases. If you ordered online, your purchase would not qualify for the promotional trade-in value.

Our online Trade-In site is available here, if you are still interested in trading that phone in. You can get an estimate online, and do the trade-in there or in one of our stores.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Sincerely,

What is the Best Buy warranty on the S10+? Can I return it and repurchase in store to get the promotion?

Re: $550 Trade in for S10+

Hi again, jfelts,

Under our Return & Exchange Promise, you would have had 14 days to return that phone. That means the phone is outside of the return period now, and can no longer be returned or exchanged.

In the event that it could have been returned or exchanged, you would have been looking at a restocking fee to do that, if it was open. In addition, you would have only been able to get the current promotional trade-in value for it, and not any pre-order trade-in value.

Sincerely,
