Hello there, joaopsimon,
Four months of free Apple Music is certainly nothing to sneeze at, so I can understand your confusion about only receiving one month.
One possible explanation for this is that the 4-month Apple Music trial is only for new subscribers, so if you tried to apply it to an existing subscription, it will only give you one free month. Beyond that, you’ll need to contact Apple Music for assistance, as we cannot assist with redemption issues involving their codes.
I hope this helps!

It doesn't help to contact Apple Support. The same happened to me — the "4 months free" promo code was good for 1 month upon redemption. I had never signed up for Apple Music before. Since Apple itself offers 3 months free, I assumed I needed to sign up for Apple Music first, to get the 3 months, then add the promo code to get one more, equal to 4 in total. Nope. Now the code is invalid because I "already have an Apple Music subscription"... I had it for about 2 minutes before trying to enter the code!
Having had no luck with Best Buy support, I tried Apple support. They simply referred me back to Best Buy. In my opinion, it's Best Buy's responsibility to clarify how to use their promo: before, during, or after signing up with Apple Music. If it's before, it shouldn't say 1 month when you try to use it.
Good thing the promo is only worth $10 — one month — otherwise I'd feel a lot more cheated.
