2FA issues

I have made 8 phone calls today alone. Been hung up on 6 of those times. Transfered to different departments the other times to be disconnected on the transfer. Spent over 4 hours on the phone today to try to get my 2fa reset since my phone crashed. I have no way to get into my account which i have been told will be locked forever with my credit card information in it and warranties and there is nothing i can do about it. There is no way that yall can not reset it so i can get back into my account and all my past purchases and warranties. I need someone that can help me without transfering me or hanging up on me. Can someone please tell me who i can call to get this fixed and dont tell me the 800 number that the website says since that has not worked.

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our community forums. 2-Step Verification is a great feature to help enhance your My Best Buy account. I can understand how frustrating it would be to find out that your account is locked, I'd be glad to give you some information on how I may be able to help available moving forward.

 

As previous agents may have mentioned, we do not have the ability to remove 2-Step Verification from your account on your behalf. Do you have access to the backup codes that were provided when activating this feature? 

 

If not, our options to assist you are very limited but I would like to see what may be possible. I will need a bit more information in order to do so. Can you please send me a private message that includes your:

 

Full name

Email address

Phone number
