2 iMac's for the price of 1???

1/12 - I ordered an iMac online for same-day pickup at the Eastgate store. We waited for a couple of hours and went to the store only to be told that the financing had not gone through at that time. The store representative stated it could very well go through the next morning.


We leave, and for the next 3 days, I check - still nothing updated via the Best Buy app or email.

 

1/15 - I messaged Alvin {removed per forum guidelines}, who stated it was ready for pickup. My husband went to the store to only be told that online reps don't know what's going on in the store, and they did not have one in stock.

 

1/15 - Messaged online rep again, Faye {removed per forum guidelines}. This time I asked if the IMac could be expedited by shipping it to me if the store wasn't going to have it until 1/19. Faye stated that it could be mailed to me and received by 1/20. For some reason, Faye didn't understand that I wanted it faster than 1/19. She said she would have it mailed to me by 1/20. I was tired of trying to get my point across and agreed to have it shipped.

 

1/17 - I get an email that Best Buy canceled my order. I know, at this point, we are all saying WTH?! I tried calling CitiBank to figure out why Best Buy canceled it because my card had a 0 balance but no credit limit as the purchase was not returned even though canceled. Citibank told me I needed to speak with Best Buy; she transferred me. Best Buy told me I needed to speak with the credit department. I tried to call the Best Buy in Eastgate however was on hold for over 30 minutes, and at that point, I didn't care.

 

1/18 - I checked my balance on the card, figuring that the magic would happen overnight, and it did. Hooray! So I proceeded to make my purchase, and holy wow - same-day purchase! I was excited, even though my husband told me not to. Then mid-afternoon, I actually get an email saying it was ready for pick up. HOORAY! My husband called to confirm while we were on our way because #dejavu. We were able to pick up this glorious IMac, and I love it.

 

1/20 - UPS just dropped off a brand new iMac. Hmmmmm - is Best Buy giving me an additional IMac for all my trouble? Are they now compensating my trouble with this glorious gift? My card doesn't reflect 2 IMac's.


I did call the corporate number only to be hung up on before speaking to anyone.


So tell me....is this a gift?Smiley LOL
