I recently pre-ordered the Xbox One X Scorpio edition (BestBuy.com) with the promotional 18 months no interest financing. I confirmed with Best Buy before it shipped out that it had the 18 months promo attached to it. The charge showed up on my Best Buy credit card this morning, but with 12 months no interest instead of the 18 months. Is this something I need to talk to the credit card company about or can Best Buy fix this on their end? I don't want to have to return the Xbox and repurchase as it is the limited edition and sold out. Thank you.
For reference, here is the page showing the 18-month no interest promotion (right hand side): https://www.bestbuy.com/site/microsoft-xbox-one-x-project-scorpio-edition-1tb-console-black/5919711....

I've contacted Citi (My Best Buy Card) and they said there's nothing they can do. What's the best approach here? Is there a way someone from Best Buy can modify this or possibly refund/recharge me with the 18 months promotion applied? Thank you.

Hello, figment, and welcome to the forum!
Congratulations on your new Xbox One X console! The Scorpio edition is highly popular right now, so it’s understandable why you’d be hesitant to let it out of your sight. I’m more of a Nintendo gal myself, but even I would have some problems relinquishing that console! I’m honestly not sure how the interest-free promotion would have changed like that, but you’ve certainly come to the right place for assistance.
As you may know, Citibank, N.A. is the issuer of your My Best Buy credit card. Any changes or modifications to that account would need to be made through them directly; however, we may be able to help. If your console is within its Return and Exchange Promise, we should be able to return and re-purchase it to include the console in the 18-month financing offer at your local Best Buy store. If you have any questions about this for me though, please feel free to ask away!

Hi Alexandra, thanks for getting back to me.
I understand, I'm a big Nintendo fan as well
Would there be a way this can be refunded/repurchased via BestBuy.com (where I originally purchased it) instead of a store? I don't want to have to pack up the console and bring it in just to do that. I chatted with BestBuy before it charged me, and they confirmed to me that it had the 18-month promo on it, so I'm not sure what happened.
Please let me know if something like this is doable.

Hi there, Stuart,
While we typically have an option to process an exchange via BestBuy.com through the same order number, we would have to outright return the console via mail and then have you place a new order entirely if we’re looking to modify the payment option. Given that this is a special edition item that is sold out, this isn’t a possibility, as we’d need to have inventory available to process this request.
If done at your local store though, we should be able to return and re-purchase the same exact console to ensure you’re not without your Scorpio edition. That said, I’d be happy to peek at your current order to confirm the original 18-month financing option. I can’t make any guarantees as to the outcome from that investigation, but I’d need some additional information from you to review your purchase, so please be on the lookout for a private message heading your way shortly.
