Re: selling use items

Best Buy does routinely sell open boxes and are identified as such. We do not knowingly sell open items as new. In an effort to “pull one over” sometimes a customer making a return will do their best to make an item appear as new. Our customer service associates are trained to look for this sort of thing, but sometimes the item is so well packaged it still appears new. In this instance, Best Buy was also the victim. I’ve had this happen to me at Lowe’s and Amazon as well, it’s genuinely a problem retail faces everywhere. While you are within your return exchange period, you should have no problem swapping it for a new unit.

Re: selling use items

Hello, really_used,

Uh-oh! That definitely should not be happening at any time. I'd love to take a closer look at this purchase and see how we can make it right. I just ask that you share with me via private message your full name, email address, phone number, and purchase details. We'll take it from there.
