"Future Returns May Be Declined"

Hello!

Yesterday I went to Best Buy to return an item that I did not like. Upon the return I recieved a warning stating that my future returns may be declined. I am confused why I received this because this is the first opened return I have done. It was for $60 headphones. In the past I only have returned either unopened items or items that have been defective and I had used my geek squad protection plan. I would really like to buy a protection plan on these new headphones, but worry I won't be able to return them if anything happens. I called The Retail Equation and they were no help. They said I was banned for one year even though this is my first warning? A customer service represntative of Best Buy told me the warning only lasts 90 days. I am worried that all my geek squad protection plans are useless as I will not be able to exchange or replace anything if something happens. I was wondering if i could get this warning reversed as I do not abuse returns and have been a loyal customer that has spent thousands at Best Buy. Thanks for any help and advice in advance.
