filing a complaint

I have a complaint about Tani, a store manager in Dublin. I had a gift receipt to return a game that my 11 year old son got for his birthday and instead of the full $60 being returned to me, I received only $4.46 on a gift card. I was not told that I received such a fraction of the price until I was using the gift card ten minutes later to buy something else that my son wanted in exchange. I came back and the salesman was very apologetic and tried to help me to the best of his ability. He tried to go get the manager and she very reluctantly, after much protest, she came to the front desk, and was very VERY rude. She had an attitude, and simply responded with, "I can't do anything". 
I understand that there might be nothing that can be done, but I was absolutely appalled by the way this store manager treated me and was not even apologetic about the situation.

It's always upsetting when you don't get as much back for an exchange as you should have. The only reason I could think for this would be if the original purchaser used some form a discount on the original purchase (like rewards coupons, aka Best Buy Cash) because then they wouldn't have paid the full price for the game. As an exchange, it's unfortunate for you because then you wouldn't get the full price back on the gift card. The only way around that would have been if they had done it as an exchange then the coupons would have applied to the new item instead of just refunding the rewards or whatever to the original purchaser.

It is severely unfortunate too that the leadership at that store treated you so poorly. One of the corporate reps will work their way through the queue to your post and will be able to take down that feedback for the store in question and assist you further.
