extremely poor experience

I purchased a television at the Trussville, Alabama store on 11-23-22. I paid for the television and a wall mount and arranged delivery and installation for 11-28-22. The installer sent me a text at 3:56 pm stating "Best Buy says they don't have the TV, do you have it there with you?" I replied that I purchaed the TV at the Trussville location and he then said "Yes, the installer is there at the store they say they don’t have it to give him." 

 

When I purchased the television, there were three of the models for sale on the floor. The salesperson (Aron) assured me that the TV would be delivered on the date we scheduled. When I FINALLY reached Best Buy customer service I was told that "it had been backordered" and it could be installed on 12-5-22. Given that I had paid for the television, Best Buy sold stolen merchandise to another unsuspecting customer. I was further told that "It has been a hectic week" and "these things hardly ever happen."

 

I requested a refund and will close out my credit card and never shop at Best Buy again. This (was) the third television I had purchased and I have shopped at Best Buy regularly for over 20 years. At no time was any effort made to see if the television was in stock at another store. It was an extremely disappointing experience.
