Re: assist mgr refusing to give customer store credit

Hello, aceto402,

Welcome to the Best Buy forum! I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us about your recent experience at the Everett, MA store (store 1088) when seeking to return your slow cooker.

As you’ve mentioned in your post, most products and customers have a 15-day period where they should qualify for a return or exchange in one of our stores. While this isn’t true of all products, some do allow an extended window for My Best Buy Elite and Elite Plus members. You can see more about the Best Buy Return & Exchange Promise here. Returns outside of that policy should be prohibited though such discussions should take place with care and respect.

While I cannot promise a different outcome, I would be more than happy to double check your My Best Buy member status for you. So I can get started with that, can you please provide some additional details? I’ll need your full name, phone number, email address, and either the customer service PIN from the bottom of your receipt (if purchased in store) or the order number (if purchased online) for your slow cooker. To keep your information secure, please use the “private message” option in my signature below this post.

Thank you,

Re: assist mgr refusing to give customer store credit

Hello, again, aceto402,

I appreciate your follow up. I’m disheartened that you feel you’ve been treated unfairly by our representatives.

Regarding our Return & Exchange Promise, it is my understanding that is printed at the bottom of our store receipts. The full policy is also available anytime on BestBuy.com. For ease of access, I did post a link to that policy in my previous message, but I’ll also add that link here. While I haven’t yet received a private message from you with the information previously asked for, again, please know if you do want to send over that information I’ll gladly take a closer look at your situation.

Thank you,
