You Lost ANOTHER Customer, and all my friends & family! Why? TRE

Dear Best Buy:  You are NOT a "Best" buy -- a few days ago, I was slapped into shocking silence when I was about to exchange a tiny camera memory card,,,, and after that was about to SPEND ABOUT ANOTHER THOUSAND DOLLARS. As the sales person was about to make the exchange, he was suddenly stopped and asked a sales person standing next to him "what is this?" as he pointed to the computer screen; to which the other person said "it's a message you have to read out loud to her, and she has to sign it."  There were other things said, and a manager-type person took over.  Long story short -- I was BLIND-SIDED by your nasty TRE program. Your store has NEVER MADE this information available to consumers -- it is KEPT SECRET,,,,,, had I known you were in bed with such a nasty program, I would have NEVER purchased any thing from you.  And, as I told the manager that day, I now will NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER THING from "Best Buy."  Yes, the manager explained that this "decision" was "out of his control" and that "Best Buy had nothing to do with the decision" -- which royally amazed me.  Over the previous 4 to 6 months, I had just made purchases of thousands of dollars at BB.  Yes, I made a few returns -- but, they were actually EXCHANGES in order to get the exact product I wanted.  So, an ignorant algorithym in a computer cannot distinguish between a GREAT CUSTOMER WITH A SPECIFIC TYPE OF RETURN/EXCHANGE and someone who might actually be criminally-minded and actually taking advantage of you and your return policy. I was about to spend another $1000-plus to get another TV and a clothes dryer --- but, NO, NOT NOW AND NOT EVER.  There are FAR TOO MANY STORES out there - either brick-&-mortar or online stores -- where I can get THE SAME PRODUCT,,,, even if I have to pay a little more, I am now going to do that so as to AVOID SPENDING NOT ONE MORE PENNY AT BEST BUY.  Additionally, as I said before, I have made sure I have told numerous friends and family about your secret policy, AND last week while in a couple of other stores, I told STRANGERS not to go to Best Buy and told them about your secret nasty policy.  Good-bye Best Buy - you were the last surviving electronics store,,,,, let's see how long it will be before you join Circuit City.

TRE is a system to prevent an unnecessarily number of returns. Best Buy is not the only company that utlilizes this tool. There is little that Best Buy can do to revoke this ban. If you came here seeking help, starting with an open attack isn't the best way to go though.
