Wrong item. Too late to exchange

So this is a little bit odd but back in September I purchased a 15 inch MacBook Pro as I needed it for school. The store had to order it in because they didn’t have any in stock and that was another issues in and of itself because they used the incorrect sku for the specific color I had wanted. Fast forward to today I’m going over my laptops specs with a friend of mine and I realize it is the i7 model instead of the i9 model I had the store place the order for. So I even went back to my receipt in the app and it also says i7. I know that I did not place an order for the i7 model because of how much runaround I had to do just to get the correct color.

TL;DR I have an older model laptop and didn’t realize it until it is probably far too late. I’m doubting anything can be done but figured I’d throw this out into the void in the rare chance something might happen.

It likely is too late as this was purchased even before the holiday return window. This was three months ago. To be fair however, you may not be losing that much performance with the i7 as that model has had some issues with thermal management in the past. Apple completely changed the thermal layout when they made the 16 inch.

Yeah it’s honestly something I highly doubt I would notice and probably wouldn’t have without looking at its specs. It’s just a little frustrating realizing it so late is all
