Best Buy Store Purchase

Returned a camera on the 11th and still havent received my money back, the worst thing is that nobody knows the status of the check, customer service doesnt even sees that I did a refund !!!

So I paid cash and I have to wait weeks for my money! Thats why more people will use amazon instead of best buy.. becAuse of customer service..now i have to wait blindly for the check ?? Came to the store and nobody has an answer?

Was it returned in store or online?  

If it was done in store, it typically takes 10 business days to get a check mailed out.  COVID-19 is likely to affect this time both in Best Buy processing as well as the mail service delivering it, but it has only been 9 business days since the return was initiated.

I have never tried to purchase through Amazon with cash, but I do know that all major retailers issue mail checks for cash/check purchases over a certain amount.  As our customers choose to use cash less and less when making a purchase in store, we keep less cash in our stores for safety and because it's typically not needed.

It was returned in the store.. one thing is a delay, and another thing is that nobody at customer service or at the store knows nothing about a check, i call customer service and they dont even know i did a return !!??? After 2 weeks there is no way of knowing if a check was made or sent.. that has nothing to do with corona.. best buy takes your money in seconds and then the process of returning it its a complete mess and you just have to wait and see when a checl turns up after sometimes months.. there is a lot of people complaining about this, im not the only one.

When you call 1-888-BestBuy, you’re talking to someone who was neither at the store performing the return nor a member of the team cutting the check. It does not surprise me that right now during this pandemic they cannot see all the details.

Done in store, you should have a return receipt that shows the item in question being returned and the return method as mail check. If this is the case, things are in the works even if a call center employee cannot see it yet.

Exactly everything is a mystery, nobody knows about the check, do you think thats right? That nobody knows the status of my money after 2 weeks?!!

Do you have a receipt that shows mail check? If so, everything is on track. There have been no additional business days since your first post, so it’s understandable that you can’t get any additional information.

Now it has been 20 days since the return was made and I havent received any check !!!

I cant believe a company such a best buy does this abuse to customers, 20 days without my money and nobody knows nothinf about it !!

Something needs to be done about best buy stealing peoples money !!
