I recently paid over $500 for a Samsung TV only to find out that the price dropped by $50 after my purchase! At most other merchants (Costco, Walmart, etc), you could either return the TV for a perior of 90 days and buy it at a lower price, or you could ask for a price adjustment. Not at BB. No one likes to feel cheated in making a big ticket purchase only to see a material price drop shortly after the fact. It shakes my faith in Best Buy and their pricing policies.

Thanks for connecting with us on our forums! Sorry to hear the price of your TV may have dropped shortly after it was purchased. We want all of our customers to get the best price possible.
Our Price Match Guarantee does allow for price adjustments during the return and exchange period of a purchase. Generally speaking, this will be 15/30/45 days depending on your My Best Buy Account status. If you purchased this TV within this time frame, please don't hesitate to send us a Private Message and we would love to see how we are able to assist!

Austin, well, that's just it. BB's policy is not competitive! I regret buying the TV at Best Buy when I could have purchased it at Costco or Walmart and they would have readily adjusted my purchase price, no questions asked, within 90 days. Forget about Amazon... their customer survice is far superior and phenomenal. They also don't give customers a hard time.
15 days to price adjust a purchase, really? That's a great policy for Best Buy, TERRIBLE for customers. It's really high level gamesmanship. Customers should be reassured when shopping that they are making the best purchase posibble at the lowest available price and that the store won't go mark the price of the item down shortly after purchase. And if so happens, you should refund the difference for 90 days, not 15 or 30 or 45. That's a joke!
Unless you're willing to make exception, I like many others, won't be purchasing big ticket items at Best Buy any longer. In fact, I recently purchased a $200 modem/router and opted for Walmart because I know they will accept a return or price adjusment as long as 90 days in case something comes up. It's a competitive marketplace and you should be doing everyting possible to attract, keep, and motivate customers. Using rigid price protection policies with an extremenly short time frame to act won't cut it. More and more customers will walk when they learn from experience like me.

We sincerely appreciate your feedback regarding our Price Match Guarantee policy. As Austin shared with you, we’d be happy to review your request further if you believe your ask was denied incorrectly. It's our hope that you'd reconsider your position of shopping with Best Buy and we'd be happy to help you answer any other questions you may have in the future.

The point is the 15/30/45 day policy is crappy compared other department stores. Makes Best Buy not competitive and I personally will not purchase at Best Buy any longer. Why should I? Most products that you sell can be found almost anywhere and at a minimum I am protected for 90 days, not just 15 days! It's a joke!! Will make an exception to the policy to make me change my opinion and decision to not shop there any longer? Who likes to feel cheated out of $50 when making an almost $600 purchase? Will you make an exception and adjust my purchase price which was made less than 90 days ago?

I got burnt a secont time today. I bought a router/modem 40 days ago. The price dropped by $13 today. I reached out to BB and they stated the same 15 day return policy. I bought another modem at Walmart around the same time. Price dropped by $13. I reached out to them today and they gave me a refund of $13.51 because it is within their 90 day return/refund/price adjustment policy. PEOPLE, NO REASON TO SHOP AT BEST BUY. WE ARE ALL LEAVING MONEY ON THE TABLE WITH THE 15 DAY REFUND POLICY WHICH IS EXTREMELY RESTRICTIVE COMPARED TO OTHER RETAILERS. BUY AT ANOTHER RETAILER LIKE WALMART OR COSTCO AND YOU'RE PROTECTED FOR 90 DAYS ON PRICE ADJUSTMENTS, ETC. BUY AT BEST BUY AND IT IS ONLY FOR 15 DAYS. NO REASON TO BUY AT BEST BUY. THE SAME PRODUCTS ARE FOUND AT OTHER RETAILERS. I have made two purchases in 3 months and I have left $65 on the table that Best Buy won't refund b/c it is past the 15 day policy. It's a great policy for THEM, it's a TERRIBLE policy for US the customers. Best Buy just reported $735 million in NET INCOME for the 4Q2018. That's $8.17mm PER DAY in net income and they nickle and dime customers like me by $65!
NO REASON TO SHOP AT BEST BUY!!!

You weren't burnt by anyone. Deals go on all the time. I purchased an iPhone 6 in 2014 for $650. It is now worth about $40. I do not expect anyone to reimburse me for the price change over time. If you prefer the style of a Best Buy competitor, you are more than welcome to shop there.
