Toshiba FireTV Edition 49”

I purchased an open box from the Framingham MA at $179 but when I got it home, it was missing more than it should have. I purchased a new one at the Attleboro, MA store but they refused return of the open box at first. They agreed to it under the guise that they take the remote. The product does not function with out the remote. What is going on with this company?

Welcome to our community. Open box products are an extremely good way to get a terrific price on really great products. I was happy to hear that you made your purchase of an open box Toshiba FireTV, but definitely less than thrilled to hear that it was missing items and that you ran into complications during your attempt to make your return. I regret any inconvenience you've endured.

 

What items were missing that should have been included? Did you have an opportunity to speak to a manager during your visit to the Attleboro store regarding the unusual requirement they made to make your return?

There was literally the Screen and power cord and nothing else. I expect at least the OEM stand and since the remote is required for this specific TV, that would’ve been nice to but neither of these items came included. I’m not sure who I spoke to but a gentleman in a maroon suit refused the return. After getting pretty upset they excepted the return because I purchased a brand new unit, however they took the remote out of the box to “make up” For the fact that I returned an open box item from a different store. I did not know until I got home that this remote is required to even use this specific TV and a universal remote is not usable
