Thought we bought Geek Squad Complete Protection But BB Denying Coverage for Stolen Phone

Went with my GF to the BB in Citrus Park, Fla. a few weeks ago to buy a new phone for Verizon service. When the sales rep. broached the subject of Geek Squad coverage, we opted for the Complete Coverage option bc it included coverage for loss and theft and after my son had his Iphone stolen in Spain in 2019 (which I'm certain I mentioned to the sales rep.) there is no way we would have just gotten the Geek Squad plan that did not include loss or theft coverage.

Fast forward a few weeks and my gf has the phone stolen from her jacket pocket after a parade in Tampa. We go back to the BB and they tell us that, unfortunately, the Geek Squad coverage we bought did not include loss or theft. I explain to them that the sales rep. made a mistake in writing the order up bc there is no way we would have bought a new phone without buying coverage for loss or theft but they refused to cover the loss of the phone.

Curious whether anyone has had a similar experience with mistakes made by the idiots at Bestbuy in writing their order up?
