The associates at the Rockaway, NJ store are not following the price match policy.
I tried to purchase a dell laptop today at the Rockaway, NJ Best Buy, which I asked to price match to local Microcenter (less than 30 miles of each other).
Associate at customer support checked and confirmed the make & model # matched with microcenter and said microcenter is approved price match competitor of best buy. When he went to his manager for sign off on price match to place the order, the manager said they cannot price match although I again showed the make & model # are the same on best buy and microcenter.
This didn't seem right, so I looked up the Best Buy price match policy which states, "At the time of sale, we price match all local retail competitors (including their online prices.)".
I've bought all my laptops in past, last one being 1 month ago from Best buy and would have prefered to buy again. Specially drove to best buy which is in opposite direction to microcenter and walked out without getting the laptop.
If it's Best Buy's policy to not pricematch to Microcenter, please put that on your website. If it's not Best Buy's policy, please provide proper training to your associates.
