To Whom It May Concern,
Friday 10/19 I went into the Cumming GA. Best Buy location with my wife to pick up some item. We walked to the back grab our items and went to check out. From the first interaction with the cashier, I could already tell it was going to be a bad expereince.
It started with me informing him the I would be price matching the 2 items I had to Amazon. Nothing out of the ordinary for a customer interaction. His response was clipped and he sounded aggrivated He asked for my phone number. Didn't acknowledge I was Elite Plus and rushed me to show him the price on amazon.
I pulled up the item, but it wasn't shipped and sold by Amazon on the main page for it. You had to go into the other listings and you could see it was sold by Amazon on another. Mind you. This amounted to what was essentialyl a $5 price difference. The cashier was getting very snappy with me. Making me extremely uncomfortable like I was bother him. He refused to believe me that the item was shipped and sold by Amazon. He just kept getting increasingly angrier at me. Which only escalted me further. So much that I even asked him if he was getting an attitute with me.
Things were going so bad that I asked if the GM was there.Which was responded with a "NO!" . And when I asked him if he knew when the GM would be in. He snapped. "I dont know!."
Another gentlemen joined the interaction and was no help either. Both CSR's could not see that I was showing them an item Shipped and Sold by Amazon. For a $5 price difference.
I stormed out of the store angry as could be and ordered the items on Amazon with Prime delievery.
There are so many things wrong with this interaction. More and more customers that still hold loyalty to instore purchasing at Best Buy are going to fall out because of interactions like this.
In order to be an Elite Plus memeber you have to spend 8k a year with Best Buy. For me to spend that much money. It's comical to think I would not completely understand the policies at Best Buy. Not to mention I have maintained Elite Plus status for over years.
The only way I will set foot in Best Buy again is if I am compensated for this horrible interaction and the further coaching is provided to the CSR team in the Cumming Store to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Not quite sure why you're invovled if you can't assist and have nothing to do with the issue.
I guess to correct the dollar amount threshold for Elite Plus. Cool. Not exactly the right tact to take with someone on their way out the door.
You should probably not get invovled in there kinds of things.
