Terrible Customer Service and deceiving..

Best Buy Elite Plus Member here so I give a lot of business to the company. Not even sure anyone is going to read this but thought I’d share anyways.

Walked in to purchase a car stereo. Website also said it was free installation.

Walked over to the Car department, nobody approached to help. I managed to find the box of the stereo I wanted and just took the front cashiers.

During checkout, it prompted the cashier about the free installation service. I was told I needed to take the receipt to the installation department to schedule the install.

I walk in, the person says he cannot schedule me at all, they’re 2 months out and to check back in 2 weeks to see if they can fit me to install the simple stereo, nothing fancy. Rather rude also..

Took the stereo home and installed it myself. So much for that “free installation” it’s advertised as.

So in short, expect to be paying someone else to install or give it a try yourself if you feel comfortable.

That installation listed at $69.99 as well. Wondering if I had said I had paid for it if the response was going to be different since I did mention I got it for free for buying the radio. Probably fit me right in since.. installer didn’t seem to be doing anything anyways.

Thank you for joining our Community and sharing your experience with us.  Getting a free install on a car stereo would be a great perk with your purchase, so I’m sorry to hear your local Best Buy store was unable to schedule this service for you anytime soon.
