TCL(6-series) 365 Day return issues

Hello everyone, I saw a post on the Internet early in the year stating that TCL TV's have a one year/365 day return policy for guest shoppers. I went to my local Best Buy to ask if this was the real deal. I showed up and told the employees about this policy. Almost nobody knew about it and was told many confused answers. I then showed them the TCL series-6 page on the official Best Buy website. Almost every employee looked at my phone like it was an alien artifact. However, one employee did in fact know about the policy and assured me that the policy was, as a matter of fact, real and legit. With his reassurance I went ahead and brought the 6-series. Fast forward to today 11-22-21, I went to my local Best Buy again with the hopes that the return policy (that was officially listed on Best Buy's website and verified to be true by an employee of best buy) would be honored. But like the first time no one there had any clue of the policy and was told that I didn't qualify for the 365 return policy, even though they are literally finding out about it. Apparently it only applies for those who bought a TCL in May or something, which I knew to be wrong, because I saw reports online and on this forum that people were able to get a refund/exchange much earlier and later than when I bought mine. I feel I'm well within the limits for a refund or an exchange. 


Any help in resolving this matter will be very helpful.
