Store is horrible

I tried to get help with my nighthawk router I purchased right before christmas. It won't even power up. The store won't help with it. They won't exchange it. The manager on duty wouldn't even come out of the office to discuss it. Horrible service from the Alexandria, la store.

It would be far outside of the return period, you would need to contact the manufacturer directly to use the manufacturers warranty.

That's fine. I have worked retail for years. If a customer come in with
a problem you don't hide in your office and blow them off.

But it's not a problem with the store that the store manages, manages... so nothing in his power to correct. I do agree it would be a better look for them to at least come out to talk to you, but ultimately, there is no obligation for a retailer to service a product outside a return policy, and I suspect even if a manager spoke with you but still couldn't help, you would be just as unhappy, if not more (as there is still this old school misconception that all we need to do to get things our way is to "speak with a manager"...)

Thanks for posting on our forum for support. I hate to hear you've run into issues with your router, as I understand how important it is to have this piece of technology working. Were you able to contact the manufacturer as mentioned here for potential assistance?

 

While this would be outside of its return or exchange period like nckhammond said, we'd still expect you to receive excellent service and support when visiting your local store. I'm sad to learn that did not happen when you went to the Alexandria location. Were you able to speak with another leader at the store and leave your feedback?
