Store employee review

Hi I wanted to write an employee review since I was never contacted about my experience but felt compelled to leave a review about a employee at the Best buy store at 1717 York road in timonium Maryland. The gentleman's name was Saeed {removed per forum guidelines}. And I now see on his card that he is the sales supervisor I guess in the cell phone department... Which I was going to say you guys need to promote him to manager and I don't know if supervisor is higher than manager but Saeed should definitely be a manager because that's how great he was. Me and my boyfriend went in there on August 5th to get new phones and switch from Sprint to AT&T & we realized that my boyfriend forgot his wallet and we lived 35 minutes away and it was about 7:00 p.m. when we realized that and that Best buy closed at 8:00 and Saeed {removed per forum guidelines} who helped us told us he would wait there past 8 when they closed and he would still serve us. I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT HE WAS WILLING TO DO THAT!!! But we knew we wouldn't make it back in time that night and said we would be back the next day around 3:00. He put the phones aside for us with our names since they were the only Best buy around that had 2 and we told him we would be back tomorrow on Aug 6th. We were happy that Saeed was there the next day on the 6th but he was helping someone else and had pointed another employee to where our phones were and he told him to take care of us and Saeed was saying to the employee that we were the awesome customers he had the prior day(and I heard him say a couple of times to other employees that we were awesome customers). We ended up waiting a while with the number transfer & switching carriers and cancelling with other carrier and so forth and it seemed like the other gentleman helping us was having issues or it was just taking him a while. Saeed ended up coming back over a couple of times throughout the process to help the employee with whatever it was and every time Saeed came over to check up on the process without ever being asked to help he would do some computer strokes real quick and have the employee on to the next step immediately! He is amazing, truly amazing and it was so crazy to get a employee that was so nice so helpful so knowledgeable and that seems like he truly loves his job and getting the job done correctly and swiftly and helping others to do the same and that he actually knows what he's doing. That's exactly how I am and I like knowing the answers to any problems or questions because then you can really help someone is you have that knowledge to any problems issues that could arise etc. Employees like that are so rare to find these days. Every time it was taking the one gentleman longer with our transaction I was praying for Saeed to come help. Whenever he was in eye contact of the mobile phone checkout he always made the time to come over without ever being asked to come over and he would just solve the issues right away and then go back to help someone else. But him telling us the 1st night we came that he was willing to stay there past closing to help us if we got there at 7:59 or 8:00.... That was really awesome to have someone willing to do that for us if we wanted. Then seeing him the next day and he had our phones put aside waiting for us and he also gave us his # the first night Aug 5th and he got our number to contact him if we couldn't make it in the next day for the phones or had any questions, but we did make it in Friday the next day. If that amazing employee Saeed was the manager of the best buy store there then I think it would be a major plus with him in charge, then all employees there would be helpful because of the knowledge he could teach them especially with solving customer questions or issues and his willingness to help above and beyond and the fact that he knew how to solve all issues the other employee encountered and he came to help them right away without ever being asked to come help, he just kept coming to check up on how it was going and to make sure everything was going ok for us. That's manager material right there! He's a great person that actually knows everything a customer would need to know and he knew what he was talking about that it had me impressed. Usually employees don't know answers to complex questions and they say they're opinion and sometimes give you an assurance of their opinion when it's completely wrong and some ppl will bank on what the employee tells them. So you guys have a gem with Saeed because he actually knows answers to everything with the carries and switching process and leases and what Sprint does to customers switching b4/after their lease is up(don't think any other employees would know what a specific carrier charges or will do when the phone lease ends) So if there's a promotion above sales supervisor of the cell phone department then you guys need to give it to him because I don't leave reviews but I HAD TO FOR HIM!. The fact that he knew so much about things (like I do) I felt so comfortable dealing with a competent employee that was so nice. I always have to make sure I know the process of how things work with anything and the stores policies etc bcuz employees never know answers to things so I have to find out everything myself if I want to know the truth and I usually find that I'm telling the employees something they didn't know... But not with Saeed bcuz he already knew everything relaying to how my transfer from terrible Sprint to At&t would go and we discussed the lease situation and what Sprint does and he was surprised that I already knew what I knew about how it all would go and he was like wow your making my job easier you already know all this and your on top of the cancellation process and you did everything right already. If all employees were like Saeed then I wouldn't have to know everything on my own of how something should go, I always encounter employees not knowing anything and they don't try to ask someone else for the answer and they just tell you something that's a lie to get you out of there because they don't know and don't care to help you. Sadly there isnt other employees like Saeed though that I have come across that knows everything with his department and makes sure he tells the customer everything they should expect and what they'll encounter when switching and even carrier specific and the steps to take to cancel with a carrier without getting charged or screwed unknowingly when switching especially with leased phones, and he made sure to relay all that important info to us the 1st night we went there when my finance forgot his wallet. Please share this review with the best buy at 1717 York Rd in timonium MD about their cell phone sales supervisor Saeed {removed per forum guidelines} and give that Man some type of store manager promotion. I bet you guys won't regret it if you do. We soooo appreciate Saeed for everything he did for me and my fiance and he went above and beyond for us. And if it wasn't for him coming to help the employee who handled the sale/phone carrier switch then I don't even know how long we wouldv'e been there for if Saeed didn't come to save the day whenever the employee was taking a while on something(Saeed would come over to help and without ever being asked to help, he would fix whatever the holdup was and he would do it right away in like 20 seconds) for something the one employee was taking anywhere from 10-20 mins on.....seriously! He just wanted our transaction of switching carriers to go as smoothly as possible which it did. No big sale when signing a contract like buying a car or switching phone carriers ever goes smoothly, but bcuz of him it truly did. Thanks

As someone who has worked with mobile phones extensively in the past, I know that these types of transactions can take quite a while and tend to have issues come up, so it is great to hear that you were able to find someone who was able to be so trustworthy and knowledgeable to help make this process as smooth as possible. 

 

From what you described, it sounds like Saeed is a great example of what we'd like for all of our employees to be. I understand you wanting to ensure that he is properly recognized for the service and assistance that he provided to you and your boyfriend. I'll be happy to ensure that your feedback is made available to Saeed's manager so that they can properly recognize him on the store level as well.

Thank you and I just wanted to update the date we went to the timonium best buy. It was actually July 9th when we got the phones and the first trip we went there was on Thursday July 8th. It was not Aug 5th &6th. Just wanted to correct that. Sorry about that.

Updated dates when we went is July 8th and got the phones the next day on July 9th it was not August 5th and 6th when we went, sorry about that, just wanted to correct with accurate dates and just realized today it was July 9th when we switched carriers. Thanks
