Today I went in to Best Buy to find a dock that would work with the very small port on my computer so that I could set up the WiFi at my new place. I went in and found one priced at $60, however when I paid for it I was charged almost $90, but that’s not the main issue. I went home to set everything up and it turned out that I didn’t actually need it because the problem had nothing to do with the router and my computer. So I then brought it back to Best Buy, an hour later and tried to return it. The guy asked me if anything was wrong with it and I said no I just didn’t end up needing it. He then kept looking at it and then told me that the serial number on the product didn’t match the box, I had no idea what this meant. He told me he couldn’t return it because it didn’t match. I thought this was bull because that is the box that the product came in. Why would you sell it to me if the serial didn’t match knowing that I couldn’t come back and return it? I talked to the manager and he told me he couldn’t do anything for me and that I was pretty much stuck with it. So not only did I waste my money on something I’ll never use but I was also overcharged for the product.

I am sorry if this item didn't work for your needs, and now this store is telling you they can't return it because the serial number of the item doesn't match the serial number on this box. It does sound like the store is correct in their assessment, but I would like to look into this for you. Can you send me a private message with your name, your email address, your phone number, and your Customer Service Pin number off the front of the receipt for this item?
