Best Buy Store Purchase

Hello,

I recently returned a Z Flip 4 phone that I purchased through best buy under TMobile plan and as part of that transaction I traded in a phone. My understanding is that upon return of the Z Flip 4 I should have received a gift card for best buy valued at my trade in (since obviously the traded phone is gone now). However I didn't receive anything and nothing on my receipt shows anything about the trade in and now I'm worried. The store assured me that the funds would go back to my credit card however that's not what the policy states and now I'm worried the money is gone along with my old phone. Could someone please help?
