I purchased my whole system from Best Buy back in 2011.
I spent thousands of dollars buying quality items including Sony Bravia TV, Panasonic Bluray, Denon receiver, Logitech remote, Bose surround speakers.
I have purchased cell phones, and computers from Best Buy.
The point is, Best Buy has been my go to store for all electronics.
And recently I decided to upgrade all of my home theater.
I purchased a Sony XBR55A8F to start.
However, the VESA mounting pattern on the back of the television would not work with my TV mount on the wall.
So I was forced to find the next Sony television that would work.
I exchanged for the Sony XBR55X900F which matched my TV mount.
When I went to complete the exchange, the sales associate told me that there was a “Return Warning” on my account.
And that I may not be able to return or exchange anything in the future. He told me to call the number on the ticket for further information.
I called the number 1-888-224-1920 and gave them my transaction ID.
The representative that I talked to said I could not exchange or return any purchases for the next 365 days.
I have a big issue with that.
Why has my account been flagged as such? He would not give me a reason.
Only thing he said was "we do a lot of accounts like that. It's no big deal."
Well, it's a big deal with me.
If this is the case then my business would be best served elsewhere.
I still have the television in the box waiting for my bonus room to be completed painting.
I will just return this one last time and head 1 mile down the road to XX Express.
They have all of the items I am looking to purchase and for the same price.
I had originally just preferred Best Buy, for decades and never been treated like this.
Not a good idea Best Buy when your competition has the same items for the same price.
