Refund to Best Buy Credit Card

I ordered a refrigerator last month.  Several weeks later I was notified that Best Buy would be unable to deliver on the date promised.  As that wasn't an option for me, I canceled the order.  I was notified that the refund would be returned to my Best Buy credit card.  Two days ago I received a kryptic voicemail from the store from which I purchased the refrigerator that my refund had not yet been finalized and that I might need to come into the store to process but they would call me back to confirm.  No call.  I just spent 90 minutes on the phone with Best Buy and was transfered to no less than six different people.  The final person I talked said the issue was resolved but the only option was for Best Buy to send me a check.  I asked for an email verification of the amount of the check.  Never received that but when I pressed him for the amount, the refund check was for less than the purchase price.  He couldn't explain why.  I asked to speak to his supervisor and then he hung up.


I called back to register a complaint and to try to get some verification of my refund check.  I was placed in the same merry-go-round of transfering to different departments and gave up.  Not once, after five requests of different "agents", would any one transfer me to a supervisor.


I would like to know who I can contact to get verification that my refund is actually been processed and to get some compensation for all of the time I have wasted trying to accomplish this simple task.

We appreciate you connecting with us here on our forum, and I can see why you would be concerned that you do not know how this refund of your refrigerator order will finally get to you. It is strange that a refund would be provided by check if you paid with a Best Buy branded credit card. It certainly doesn't sound correct to me.
