Refund keeps getting delayed

I purchased a refrigerator from Best Buy in store. The day before delivery I was told there was no more fridges in stock and would have to wait another 2 weeks. I told them to cancel the order on December 26. On December 28, 2019 I called about my refund and was told 3-5 business days for processing. I called on Friday Jan 3,2020 and was told I should get it by the end of the day if not follow up Monday. Did not receive refund so called again Saturday Jan. 4,2020 was told they were going to “manually” enter the refund and follow up Monday. Called AGAIN Monday Jan 6, 2020 and was told to wait ANOTHER 3-5 business days because apparently the first request on Dec 28 never went through!!! Told the man on the phone how upsetting this was and he assured me the money would be in my account today Wednesday Jan 8, 2020. Checked and once again NOTHING! This is ridiculous I have never had such an issue with Best Buy’s return. I don’t understand why Best Buy is withholding my money, already had to fork out more money to buy a fridge elsewhere as they continue to hold my money. Really would like this looked into I can’t keep getting told lies about ANOTHER 3-5 days.

Welcome back to our community forums and thank you for taking the time to let us know about this refund. I know if I were in your shoes I would want to receive this as quickly as possible. In most cases refunds are processed within three to five business days but in rare cases can take up to one billing cycle. I would recommend contacting your banking institution for more information on this timeline.
