I purchased an item (2nd copy of the same movie not paying attention) and returned it to a remote store that is nowhere near where I live/work. It turns out the return was associated with the first version of the item (already opened and on my shelf) I bought at the beginning of the month, which was considerly cheaper.
I tried to fix it at my local store, they advised I had to go to the original store, which isn't realistic for me due to distance. Is it possible to get a credit for the difference using the proper reciept (which I can provide)? It doesn't have to go back on my credit card.
