Refund Never Received, Extremely Dissatified

Hello, I made a purchase a few weeks ago, then returned it, but never received my refund. I was looking for a SATA to usb cable to transfer files from my old SSD to my new laptop at your store in Timonium Maryland. I went in and a sales rep immediately pounced on me (as per usual) and tried to help me find the product I was looking for. He tried to upsell me an Apricorn SATA cable and cloning software. i reluctantly purchased it, and later found out that you offer cheaper, standalone SATA cables on your website; the employee failed to inform me of this.


Once I got it home and inspected it, I determined that it was not at all what I was looking for. I had a busy week and went back to that location to return it. The employee at the customer service desk was obviously new, and there was a woman guiding him (and doing a poor job of it). He issued the refund and told me it would go back to the card I used to purchase it, but never informed me as to what card it was. I waited a few days for the refund to hit my bank account, but never received it. I later realized that I had used a prepaid Visa giftcard to purchase it, but by the time I retuned it I had a zero balance, and never received the refund.


I have been a long time customer, and have made a number of large purchasers for my Law Firm.I have an account and a Best Buy credit card. Lately, there has been a steep decline in the quality of customer service. The sales reps are aggressive, and frequently mislead me to upsell more expensive products. I know they work on comission, and suspect that is the reason for it. I have hithero been a reliable, satisfied customer, but now I am considering cancelling my accounts and Best Buy credit card and moving all my business to my local Microcenter. The sales reps there are friendly, helpful, and work to guarantee satisfaction instead of upselling products and misleading people to get more comission.


All I ask is that you issue the $30 refund to my actual bank card. I like your store because you offer a wide array of quality products, and as I mentioned, have been satisfied without fail up until this year. I would greatly appreciate it, and it. Again, this is more about the your customer service and sales tactics rather than the money. I would even be satisfied with a Best Buy giftcard so that I can purchaser the actual item I was looking for.

Thanks for connecting with us on our forums! I know how important it is to make sure that you are sold the correct product, and able to receive a refund when necessary. 


I do want to clarify that our associates do not work on commission and will always do their best to find you the best solution available. I do apologize that the product recommended may not have worked perfectly for your use-case.
