Since 12/13, I received an FOUR e-mailS with “my” receipts from a purchases made in Florida.
The purchases were made at Best Buy #515 but I am neither in US nor on the same continent and up until now I did't even had a best buy account.
The purchases were made with chip and by PIN in the store, but the credit card numbers don't mach mine.
Fearing that something else and elsewhere might happen under my name, and since the purchases are accounting for more than ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS by now I have contacted FTC and Identity Theft authorities of this and explained that I have notified Best Buy without response (until today).
I will provide additional and further information on request as this ticket unfolds.
I don’t know what else can be done to rectify this issues, but I see it as a potential problem and fear of escalation if not dealt with.
