I just ran into a similar issue with my local best buy, I walked in bought a new nvidia EVGA 1660TI as a birthday present for my nephew and the day of his birthday he opens it up to a used ASUS 1650, So I went back to best buy showed them explained to them what happened same thing all they said was we cant help you so they gave me nvidia support number they tell.me.its best buys problem so I go back another day next manage says the same thing call nvidia I'm really getting upset for 1) I'm out 280.00 bucks right now 2) my nephew had a bad birthday gift and 3) I'm starting to get really aggravated with the back and forth I NEED THIS FIXED!!!!! I DONT EVEN WANT THE MONEY I JUST WANT WHAT I PAID FOR!!!!!

Welcome to our forums.  Discovering the item you’ve purchased was not what you were expecting could certainly be a frustrating experience, and I regret to hear that seems to be the case with your recent NVIDIA item. 

 

Because we receive these new items directly from the manufacturer I’ll be unable to speak to how a completely different item would end up in the box of the NVIDIA product you were looking to purchase.  While we’ll be unable to offer a return or exchange of the ASUS graphics card you have, I recommend continuing to work with NVIDIA to investigate this matter further.

Hey Sean Nvidia said this is a bestbuy issue due to that fact it was purchased from you guys it was most likely a very well returned item that was not inspected nor put where it was supposed to be.

Can you please send in a private message through the link in my signature with your name, email address, and phone number,a long with the customer service PIN from your receipt? Please also let me know which store you visited to try that return, and when it was.

 

I can't promise any specific result as we need the product on the receipt to do a return under our Return & Exchange Promise, but I can review it and wee what's possible.

Kyle really took the time to make things right he was very understanding and looked at the matter from multiple different views in the end I was able to get a exchange which in the end I decided to upgrade to a rtx 2060 super that my nephew was extremely thrilled about, once again thank you Kyle for the help and OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE hands down 5 star rating.
